SnØsnute dogs

Born: 2016 Breed: Alaskan husky, female

Flitig

At first Flitig is cautious of strangers and requires some time to warm up before revealing her true self. As soon as you get to know her, you’ll realize what a sweetheart she truly is.

Flitig is like a lone wolf, who enjoys her personal space and likes to be alone and unbothered, but will occasionally play with her roommate. She does also like cuddles, but on her terms and preferably by climbing in your lap. She is loyal, but fierce when it comes to running. Flitig is one of our main leaders and she’s a real gem – confident and focused, and holds a good steady speed.

She has a good appetite and she is friendly with other dogs.

Born: 2017 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

wotan

The “once in a lifetime” – dog.

He is such a kind character, having a certain amount of spice in him. He is friendly and gentle with most other dogs, and an amazing role model for the younger dogs.

He is our most trustworthy lead dog and has lead us through many difficult situations. In the team he is hardworking, calm and focused and at the kennel he’s playful and wants to cuddle.

Born:  2019 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

gutten

Gutten is the clown of the team and a very spoiled mama’s boy. He has a sassy attitude to everything, and is a typical stubborn husky with a mind of his own. He doesn’t hesitate to use his high pitched voice to let us know his opinion of whatever is happening around and is always ready to protest against everything we tell him not to do. But in the end behind all of his toughness is a warm, loving soul.

In the team Gutten is hardworking, but impatient when it comes to waiting for too long. He has shown potential to run in the lead, and works well in all other positions too.

He is brother to Akela and Geri.

Born: 2019 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

Geri

Geri is quite similar to his brothers, but more reserved and requires time to get to know new people. After gaining his trust he’ll never leave your side, especially if he learns you have some snacks to give him.

Geri is sensitive and needs a calm, secure environment and his best buddy Panic to truly shine.

He is a big male, which makes him strong and powerful in the team, but regardless of his size and strength, Geri is very athletic and has a light trot.

He is brothers with Akela and Gutten.

Born: 2018 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

Myggen

Of our dogs, Myggen is the most wary of strangers and will often hide in his house if there’s people around. He has become more social and does approach people, but only those he deems kind.

While waiting in the line, he is a nuisance. He will bark, jump on his buddy, bite lines and turn around to chew the harness, but with a right buddy he can be calm and collected.

He is a great working dog, and often runs in lead or behind the leaders.

He is brother to Mustang.

Born: 2020 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

Mustang

Mustang is mama’s boy and his favorite thing is to climb up on her (or anyone, tbh) lap to be held and cuddled. He is very chatty and will often engage in a conversation with you! He is affectionate, kind and so easy-going. He’d rather avoid starting or being in any conflict.

Put him in the team and you’ll see another version of often so calm Mustang. He will bark, jump and be ready to go immediately. He is a good leader and easy to place anywhere in the team.

The only downside with Mustang is his poor appetite, especially during autumn and winter. He also doesn’t have a polar fur, so he gets to spent cold days indoor with us.

He is brother to Myggen.

Born: May 2020 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

Sisu

Sisu truly has a happy-go-lucky attitude in life.

He is slightly smaller than the rest of our males, but he measures up with his sisu (you can’t really translate the meaning of it). He can be tough towards some males, especially Leo, but he is easy to call away from situations about to escalate.

His favorite thing is to play fetch, which makes him the only one of our huskies to actually bring back whatever we’re playing fetch with!

He is such a happy soul, with no care in the world.

Born: 2020 Breed: Alaskan husky, female

sia

Her absolute favorite thing is to give lots of kisses.

Born: May 2020 Breed: Alaskan husky, female

Susi

Despite being the smallest in the kennel, there’s no one who can boss her around.

She’s is fiery, brave and so kind to everyone. She likes to stay close to people and is often asking for cuddles or snacks, she won’t say no to food!

She is building up to become a steady lead dog, especially if we need one who doesn’t try to speed up too much.

Born: may 2020 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

Sørlie

Sørlie is someone you barely notice in the team, because he’s just doing exactly what he’s supposed to do, and he’s the most promising of our young dogs.

He’d be the definition of a perfect dog (in my unbiased opinion) – good appetite, strong working mentality, good leading qualities and a soft, but firm personality.

He can be vocal sometimes, especially when he thinks it’s time to give him more attention and lots of cuddles. He’s the one to jump gently on you and then to press his head on your chest, just like giving a hug.

Born: 2020 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

Leo

Leo is the biggest baby of them all and won’t accept that he isn’t a small puppy anymore. He loves to climb up on your lap and just sit or lay down to be cuddled. In general very friendly and playful, especially with younger dogs, but can tough up to other males.

In the team he is like a bull – stubborn and strong. Waiting patiently isn’t his strongest trait, so he makes a lot of noise until we start going. He won’t stop working or give less than 100% until we stop to take a break.

Born: 2020 Breed: Alaskan husky, female

Lenna

Lenna is our special baby, she was born deaf and has complete heterochromia, from which one of her eyes is blue, and the other brown. She is a perky, brave and curious young lady, with natural talent as a sled dog – from the first time on the team she knew exactly what she was supposed to do!

Lenna is always observing the other dogs, learning through their behavior and mimicking their actions. She might be the most hard-working female we have, and also the biggest in size.

Born: 2021 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

Manfred

Better known as Manny, he is the tallest male we have!

He is friendly and easy-going, alltogether getting well along with other dogs and often just minding his own business. He can be insecure with strangers and new places, and needs a little time to adjust.

Manny is a great working dog, strong and focused. He is often running in the team, but will work well forward as a lead dog together with a more experienced partner.

He is the brother to Sid.

Born: 2021 Breed: Alaskan husky male

sid

Energetic and observant softie.

Born: 2023 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

kaamos

Don’t let his innocent, sweet look fool you! He is a terror, always trying to steal your gloves and bite your hands.

But Kaamos is also super smart and quick to catch up on new things, really eager to work for food and loves to play tug-of-war. He isn’t much into cuddling, but does occasionally come up for some scratches.

He is the smallest male, but very athletic and light in his movement. He’s not one to cause issues, but will defend himself if anyone’s trying to start something.

He is from our first 2023 litter (Susi x Sørlie), and is brother of Ruska, Naava, Halla, Viima, Piru and Talvi.

Born: 2023 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

talvi

Talvi is a proud little chunky monkey, very much like his uncle Sisu.

He is really sweet and cuddly, but will share his opinion with his teeth, especially if the treat doesn’t reach his mouth as fast as he would like.

Out of his litter he has the shortest fuse and can be seen in quite a few brawls with the other males. But being still young, he’s learning to seek for different outcomes and often resolves situations without too much noise and biting.

He is from our first 2023 litter (Susi x Sørlie) and is brother of Ruska, Halla, Naava, Viima, Piru and Kaamos.

Born: 2023 Breed: Alaskan husky, female

ruska

Ruska has the soul of a true explorer.

She is very independent and husky-like, doesn’t really care too much about people but rather spends her time carefully checking out her surroundings.

In her yard she’s quite cuddly and likes the attention, but doesn’t seek for it like some of her siblings. She is a quick learner and is easy to train with treats.

She is from our first 2023 litter (Susi x Sørlie), and is sister of Halla, Naava, Viima, Piru, Kaamos and Talvi.

Born: 2023 Breed: Alaskan husky, female

naava

Born: 2023 Breed: Alaskan husky, female

viima

Viima is the calmest and cuddliest of her siblings.

She’ll gladly climb up on your lap to be cuddled and will sprint and jump on you if you sit down on the ground.

She is from our first 2023 litter (Susi x Sørlie) and is sibling to Halla, Naava, Ruska, Piru, Kaamos and Talvi.

Born: 2023 Breed: Alaskan husky, female

halla

A gentle, calm and friendly dog.

Born: 2023 Breed: Alaskan husky, female

Piru

Have a bad day? Spend some time with Piru, she’ll surely boost your mood!

There hasn’t been a day when she has not been happy – she’s always excited, playful and wagging her tail. She is really outgoing and friendly with everyone, and will gladly lead others to adventures.

Born: 2023 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

bäck

Bäck is a dramaqueen, and often makes a big thing out of small things.

He is tenderhearted, playful and energetic male with a sharp focus on you. He does seek for contact and attention, but is also independent and often intensively exploring his surroundings.

He’s from our second litter (Sia x Panic), and is a brother of Älva, Fors and Sarek.

Born: 2023 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

fors

Fors is like a mighty teddybear, who absolutely loves to cuddle! He’s the least mature one and will probably be the one who thinks he’s a puppy forever.

He can be tough and if overstimulated or bothered, he can easily snap at another dog. He is quite brave and easily adapts to new situations and environments, but still requires our presence to feel completelu safe.

He is from our second 2023 litter (Sia x Panic) and is brother of Bäck, Sarek and Älva.

Born: 2023 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

sarek

Sarek is the one who reminds us of the cartoon character Goofy, and if Sarek could talk I’m pretty sure he’d sound like him.

He is such a happy and carefree male, who will gladly jump on you to give you lots of kisses in the face. He is well mannered and humble with most other dogs, but like his siblings can be tough if necessary.

He’s from our second 2023 litter (Sia x Panic), and is a brother of Fors, Bäck and Älva.

Born: 2023 Breed: Alaskan husky, female

älva

She was the smallest one in the litter and we initially thought we might find another home for her, since she was often mobbed by her siblings and we were afraid it’ll continue forever.

But she grew up to be a tough, but sweet little girl who won’t let anyone mob her, despite being smaller than the rest. Älva is kind and seeks contact with us, never says no for some cuddles!

She is from our second litter (Sia x Panic) and sister of Fors, Sarek and Bäck.

Born: 2014 Breed: Alaskan husky male

Panic

To Panic cuddling is the elixir of his life and if you tell him “no, not now”, he will smirk at you and punch you with his paw.

Panic has PTSD from a trauma he suffered some years ago, which sometimes makes him uncomfortable in the team. He doesn’t like stressful situations and long waiting, but we have been working on it and most of the time he’s now good.

It is a shame he had to go through that incident, because he is a great working dog and one of the best lead dogs I have ever driven.

We are happy to have bred him with Sia.

Born: 2022 Breed: 100% good boy

loki

Loki is the sweetest surprise we’ve ever gotten and we’re truly blessed with his presence. He has always been an easy dog, so brave and curious of his surroundings.
He has earned the title of team mascot and has the important task to keep up the good spirit amongst us mushers. He also has a strong guarding instinct and will let us know when visitors arrive!

He loves cuddles and people, but is wary in the beginning and needs to be allowed to approach new people in his terms before anyone can pet him.

He is the son of Mustang, and a Golden retriever named Lumi (the dog of Tuuli’s brothers family).

Born: 2016 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

Decker

Decker is a steady commando leader, with a high tolerance for teaching the secrets of leading to younger dogs. He can come across as intimidating due to his size and vocal habit of asking for cuddles, but he has such a gentle soul and wouldn’t hurt a fly. He absolutely loves butt scratches!

His best friend is his brother Slimak, they are inseparable and won’t accept living with anyone else. The day Decker doesn’t want to have food or stops whining at dinner time, we’ll know something isn’t right. He loves food more than anything!

Due to his health, he is slowly retiring from tours and long trainings, but is still great for puppy training and short runs.

Born: 2016 Breed: Alaskan husky male

slimak

A gentle teddybear with an cautious but curious and attentive nature.

Born: 04.09.2012 Breed: Alaskan husky male

Ledge

Ledge is a sweet old male, just wanting to spend his retirement in the fenced in running area chasing after the others and sniffing all the flowers he finds. He has been a competition dog before we adopted him and has finished some of the long races in Scandinavia.

Even though we don’t run him in the team anymore, he is still eager to work and gets to pull in the harness while we go for walks around the village. He has a unique, a little bit mellow voice and it always brings a smile in our faces. He is the purest!

Born: 2011 Breed: Alaskan husky male

Saturn

A Calm retiree who likes to follow his own path; A “lonely wolf” who has grown deaf over time.

Born: 01.07.2011 Breed: Alaskan husky male

Tersk

Forever young and boyish old-timer. Kittenish and loud dog who loves attention.

Born: 2019 Breed: Alaskan husky, male

Akela

Akela is a goofy teddy bear, who often becomes the favorite of children with his gentle and polite behavior.

Akela is a good sled dog, but doesn’t always put 100% effort into the work. He has a very good appetite and he keeps his weight steady. Akela is food motivated, which makes it easy to teach him new tricks and get his focus on you!

He has good paws and a looot of fur, a true “Bamse” as they would say in Norwegian. He’s one of the three husketeers – a brother to Geri and Gutten!
